I’m British, my cultural roots shaped by absorbing the BBC, especially Radio 4 and it’s glorious speech output.
I’m married to a wonderful lady called Sue, and we’ve shared more than 40 years.
And I’m a Christian belonging to an Anglican parish church.
So far so conventional. But I am far from comfortable in this mould. I would rather be European or better still a citizen of the world. I feel uneasy with the habits of almost all churches, yet I still gasp at the simple good sense of the Sermon on the Mount.
I trained in electronics, worked in acoustics and then as a sound engineer in television. For the last thirty years I’ve been an audio and video producer helping businesses communicate.
I am passionate about a small community in Uganda which we have helped to benefit from clean water and health education. Why? Because you can’t change the entire world, but we can all make a difference in a small way and it all adds up. The potential for Africa is only hampered by the burdens of disease and ignorance, and each of us can help to lift those a little.
